关于“口头作文”的一些做法介绍
著名语言学家吕叔湘生前曾经写过一篇文章，谈及他的孙子在街头碰到一件新鲜事，回来后给大人介绍，可是结结巴巴，语无伦次，半天也没有讲清楚，对此他十分感慨，觉得从小学开始就要注重学生的口头语言表达训练。其实，世界上有些国家早就将“口头作文”列入整个作文教学的范畴，这与吕先生的设想有点不谋而合。这里，仅就几个国家关于“口头作文”的一些做法作一介绍。
一、国外给“口头作文”以应有地位
过去，相当长的一段时间里，国外的作文教学并非把“口头作文”摆在适当位置上。他们也只是在小学低年级阶段搞说话训练，小学高年级乃至中学阶段只注重书面作文训练，并不注重口头作文训练。后来，他们在实践中逐渐意识到这一问题，于是把“口头作文”提到应有的位置上，并且进行了多方面的探索，收到良好的效果。譬如，美国是一个作文教学多样化的国家，有其自身的特点。现在，普遍重视“口头作文”。他们不仅把用文字写的叫作文，而且把用口头表达的也称为作文，并不把口头表达和书面表达截然分开，异样对待，而是把二者视为相辅相成的作文统一体。所以，在美国的小学，甚至中学，口头作文与书面作文具有同等的地位，人们没有厚此薄彼的想法和做法。无论是前苏联还是现在的俄罗斯，在作文教学中都一脉相承地注重“口头作文”训练。他们十分强凋口头作文的重要性，把口头作文的训练贯穿在多种写作能力训练的过程中，每进行一种写作能力训练，首先进行口头作文训练。他们认为，作文教学不仅仅是让学生学会“怎样写”，而目先要让学生学会“怎样说”。
因此，有些作文的题目，只要求学生口头作文，不要求书面作文，有些作文的题目则先让学生口头作文，再在口头作文的基础上进行书面作文。显然，他们把口头作文和书面作文摆在同等重要的地位，尤其是把口头作文与书面作文有机结合起来，使其相得益彰的做法，应该说是十分可取的。法国的语文老师还从学生的心理特征出发，把口头作文提到首要地位。他们指出，语言是交际工具，为了让学生掌握这个工具，教者应该特别注意交际过程中学生的心理特征。书面表达是建立在口头表达的基础之上的，要提高学生的书面表达能力，首先应该提高学生的口头表达能力。人们为了某种交际需要才说话和写作的，完美地表达自己的意思自然成为人们追求的目标。作为教者，怎能不根据学生的心理特征去为学生营造各种客观需要，促进学生的口头作文和书面作文呢？因此，他们进行了多种训练，把口头作文提到了重要地位。其他诸如德国由忽视说话训练到重视说话训练。新加坡强调说写结合，以说带写等等。虽然没有明确提到“口头作文”，但已与之密切相关。
事实证明：“口头作文” 在国外的作文教学中已受到普遍重视，并以方兴未艾的势头向前发展，层次和水平在不断提高之中。
二、国外“口头作文”训练方式丰富多彩
国外口头作文的训练方式丰富多彩，各有特色，这里选择几种略作介绍
如上所述，德国语文教学大纲虽然也规定要培养学生的口头表达能力，但是在实施时往往放任自流。近年来，无论在理论上还是实践上都对“口头作文”进行了探索，他们曾发一本语文教学袖珍手册，比较系统地安排了生动活泼的口头表达练习。如：讲述练习。让学生从生活中，或从书报中搜集故事，然后在上课时讲述，并且要求弄清重点和高潮，确定讲述顺序，做到言之有序，重点突出，能吸引人。比如提供一则书面材料，描写一个学生是怎样机智勇敢地抓住小偷的，让学生阅读之后集体讲述。讨论练习。让学生按规定的题目和要求，事先搜集资料，拟好提纲，然后在小组会上口头发表。比如就某一事件，让学生搜集资料，分析情况，发表意见，在讨论中提高思辨能力和表达能力。
看图说话练习。让学生看单幅图画，然后口头描述该画的场面；或让学生看多幅连环画，然后再按顺序讲述，连成一个完整的故事。比如有这样一组幽默画：要求学生看过画面后思考下列问题：①猎人朝哪儿开枪？猎狗带回了什么？②故事中包含着幽默笑料，怎样讲述才能逗人发笑？在思考之后，让学生口头发表意见。关于口头作文的训练，前苏联已经形成体系，有相当严格的要求。首先，安排专用时间，有时是一节课，有时多达三节课；其次，在教师指导下，学生通过审题，分析范文，搜集村料，拟订提纲，然后在课堂上口述；再次，要求学生的门述要有头有尾、条理清楚，具有感人的力量，强调语调、强调有感情的表达；最后，同书面作文一样，每次口头作文都要求学生评议，指出其优缺点。有时，教师还把学生的口头作文用录音机录下来，一边放录音，一边让学生分析评议。毫无疑问，这样进行口头作文训练，对于提高学生口头表达能力乃至书面作文水平，是大有裨益的。举个例子吧，有一位女学生的口头作文，题为《我的同学的肖像》，教师让其整理成书面形式，组织学生讨论修改。有的指出应当把眼睛和表情写得细致一些，有的指出把嘴唇和红领巾相比是不确切的，有的指出既然认为她的外貌逗人喜爱，就不应该用嘲笑的口气写她的鼻子……经过这样的讨论与修改，学生再去独立地描写了一个人物，不仅能围绕一个明确的中心来选择，而且写法各异，语言生动活泼。这样做自然比一次单纯书面作文费时多了，但它取得的效果是几次书面作文也无法比拟的。值得一提的是法国的口头作文训练，对于同一命题、同一内容，按不同人称、时态、感情色彩进行描述的要求，让学生获得多样化、多层次的.训练。比如要求学生描述在公用电话间打电话的情景，

“口头作文”，学生在有限的时间内既要考虑表达中心，选择材料，安排顺序．又要推敲词语，思维活动是十分复杂、十分紧张的。这种训练要求速度快可以锻炼思维的敏捷性；要求条理清楚可以锻炼思维的条理性；要求紧扣中心可以锻炼思维的目的性；要求表达准确可以锻炼思维的灵活性。坚持长期的口头作文训练，不仅有助于写好书面作文，而且对学生将来的发展具有重要意义，无疑是值得借鉴的。
回顾我们的语文教学，一段时间以来，注重了听、说、读、写的训练，其中的“说”与口头表达并无二致。注意训练口头作文，记有文章偶尔提到，但把“口头作文”作为作文教学的一个有机组成部分，无论在理论上和实践上都尚未引起足够的重视，也尚未能进行切实有效的探索。我们设想，如果认真总结我们作文教学的经验教训，吸取世界各国先进的作文教学经验，切实加强听、说、读、写的训练，将其中的“说”的内容和方式突出出来，认真进行研究与探索，取得经验．加以推广，也许会使长期困扰我们的作文水平的提高见效不快的问题，逐步有所好转。
